Art in Progress

I haven't painted in several months, 8 months to be precise. I have been meaning to pick up my brushes for quite some time. However I was not inspired until... I looked over some pictures I took of my adorable nephew last fall. I fell upon this picture of his feet as he played hide and seek with his uncle and I fell in love with it!

The painting is not quite finish, but I think it's coming along nicely! Here are a few snapshots of the art work in progress.

Work in progress: Cherry blossoms

I decided to take a few pictures as I progress on my latest painting. This painting is based on a picture I took when I was in Japan. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in the month of May and it was beautiful to see.
I should finish the painting soon. Size 8 x 8 inches.
